மருத்துவம் ஓர் அலசல்

 வணக்கம். மதுரையில் மருத்துவர் சிவகுமாரன் பேசுகிறேன், 

மருத்துவம் பற்றிய ஒரு விழிப்புணர்வு பதிவு இது...

மருத்துவத்தில் மூன்று பகுதிகள் உண்டு.

1.நோயை கட்டுப்படுத்துதல் (control)

2.நோயை குணப்படுத்துதல்(cure)

3.நோய் வருமுன் காத்தல்( prevention)

முதலாவது நோயை கட்டுப்படுத்துதல் பற்றி பார்ப்போம். 

ஒரு நோய் வந்த பிறகு அதன் தீவிரத்தை தணிப்பதற்காக செய்யப்படக் கூடிய தற்காலிக முறைகள் அனைத்தும் கட்டுப்படுத்தல் வகையில் அடங்கும். இதை மருத்துவத்தில் palliation என்று அழைப்பார்கள். (நோயின் காரணத்தை களையாமல், நோய்க்குறிகளை மட்டுப்படுத்துவது, குறைப்பது, தற்காலிகமாக தணிப்பது)

உதாரணத்திற்கு கணையத்தில் இன்சுலின் சுரப்பு குறைவாக இருந்து அதனால் சர்க்கரை நோய் வருகிறபோது , ஏன் கணையம் குறைவாக இன்சுலின் சுரக்கிறது? என்பதைப் பற்றி ஆராயாமல் செயற்கை முறையில் மிருகங்களிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்ட இன்சுலினை தினசரி உடலில் செலுத்திக்கொண்டு வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் கட்டுப்படுத்திக் கொண்டே இருப்பது, மற்றும் தைராய்டு ஹார்மோன் சுரப்பில் வரக்கூடிய ஏற்றத்தாழ்வுகளில் அந்த சுரப்பி ஏன் இயற்கை முறை மாறி செயல்படுகிறது என்பதை ஆய்ந்து அறிந்து அதை சரி செய்யாமல் வெளியில் இருந்து செயற்கையாக அதை சமன் படுத்தி கொண்டே இருப்பது,

காய்ச்சல் வரும் போது காய்ச்சலுக்கான காரணத்தை அறியாமல் காய்ச்சலை உடனடியாக குறைக்கக்கூடிய (antifebrile) மருந்துகளைக் கொடுத்து கட்டுப்படுத்துவது இந்தப் பிரிவில் அடங்கும்.

2.நோயைக் குணப்படுத்துவது  (curative treatment) பற்றிப் பார்ப்போம்

இதில் முதலில் நோயைப் பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். பிறகு நோயினுடைய காரணத்தை ஆய்ந்து அறிய வேண்டும். பிறகு நோயால் அவதிப்படுபவரின் வாழ்வியல் முறைகள், அவருடைய வயது, பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், அவருடைய மனநிலை, அவருடைய குடும்ப சூழல், உறவு முறைகள், அவர் சமூகத்தில் பங்காற்றும் விதம், அவருடைய முற்கால வியாதிகள், அவருடைய முன்னோருக்கு இருந்த வியாதிகள், அவருடைய வாழும் சூழலில் உள்ள சுற்றுச்சூழல், அவருடைய உள்ளார்ந்த ஆன்மீக மேம்பாட்டு நிலைகள், அவருடைய உயிர் தன்மை, இதற்கு முன்னர் அவர் மேற்கொண்ட மருத்துவம் மற்றும் அதனால் ஏற்பட்ட விளைவுகள், அவருக்கு ஏற்படும் கனவுகள், அடிக்கடி வரும் சிந்தனைகள், அவருடைய வாழ்வியல் இருத்தலின் நோக்கம், அவர் பிற உயிர்களிடத்தில் கொண்டுள்ள அன்பு பரிவு இரக்கம், தன்னைப் பற்றியே கொண்டுள்ள மனக் கருத்து நிலைகள், அவர் வாழ்வில் கடந்து வந்த சூழ்நிலைகளால் ஏற்பட்ட தாக்கங்கள், அவருடைய மனம், உயிர் ,சக்தி நிலை என அனைத்தையும் முழுமையாக அறிந்து நிரந்தரமாக எளிய முறையில் இயற்கையான முறையில் விரைவாக குணப்படுத்தும் கலை தான் உண்மையான குணப்படுத்தும் மருத்துவ அறிவியல் கலை ஆகும்.

அதாவது மனிதனுடைய நோயை மட்டும் குணப்படுத்தாமல் மனிதனை முழுமையாக அறிந்து குணப்படுத்துவதே உண்மையான குணப்படுத்துதல் (cure)...
