*Case history:* Chronic Recurrent Fungal Infection Treated with Homoeopathy

*Patient Details:*

* Name/Age/Sex:  Harshith 13 male /C
* student studying in Kent. U.K

* *Chief Complaint:* Chronic recurrent fungal infection for the past 3 years

* Affected Areas:
      Face

*Clinical Presentation:*

* *Symptoms:*

  * Large discolored patches with marked fungal borders in face

  Sun exposure makes the patches more noticeable because they don't tan, leading to a contrast in skin color

  * Severe itching and burning, Started after a streptococcal infection

* *Duration* : 3years, with symptoms worsening progressively

*Anamnesis* 1 *Previous Treatments* :
 Multiple allopathic creams, antifungal tablets, & Topical treatments like Antifungal creams clotrimazole, lotions, and shampoos are used.
( dandruff shampoos containing selenium sulfide & ketoconazole  used as a body wash,). 
Applied antifungal creams twice a day 
Oral medications:  oral antifungal medication on consultations with dermatologists in U.K , but  no long-term relief; condition kept worsening, 
The condition has a high recurrence

Started after a streptococcal infections
antifungal creams, lotions, steroids used


 *Contributing factors:*  a weakened immune system can increase the likelihood of an outbreak. 

 *Other characteristics:* Sun exposure may make the patches more noticeable not getting tan, leading to a contrast in skin color.

 *Generals* ,
Stool: regular, appetite- good, sweat- smells bad after a long day in school
Sleep- regular
Thirst- regular
Urine : normal

 *Modalities* :
When he goes to sun or beach it gets worse

*Homoeopathic Intervention:*

* Starting Date: 31st August 2025

* Prescription : 
sulfur LM Potency (starting with LM1)
Mixed with 600ml water in 900ml bottle
10 succussions each time,/15ml taken mixed with 100ml water stirred well and 5ml administered every 1hr for 5hrs immediately after waking only in the mornings

 *Hygiene management* : Showering as soon as possible after activities that cause sweating  advised.

*Response to Treatment:*

* *Initial Response* (within weeks):
Rapid reduction in discolouration, itching, and burning and restoration of normal skin colour

   As of last follow-up (1st october 2025)
